As you may know, the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is an all-volunteer organization that focuses its efforts, events and activities on education, advocacy and family engagement. It takes quite a village to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.
By joining PTA, you have already made a difference at Coy Miller Elementary. Joining is not the same as volunteering. While volunteering is not required, it takes plenty of volunteers to help out on the numerous activities that are planned throughout the school year for the benefit of our students.
That means that WE NEED YOU! There are a number of different ways you can help the Coy Miller PTA, whether it’s being fully involved behind the scenes or lending a hand every once in a while. You can:
- Fill an open PTA Board position
- Volunteer for an event, one-time task or ongoing need
To participate in a volunteer opportunity, you may need to let the PTA know or sign up for a specific event or task.
If this is your first time as a volunteer or you’d like to know more about what to expect, please don’t hesitate to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
We thank you in advance for all of your volunteer efforts. We couldn’t do this without you!
Don’t forget to complete your annual volunteer background check through the Frisco ISD. This must be completed before participating in any volunteer activities at Coy Miller Elementary.
