Reflections is a theme-based arts contest open to Miller students who have a parent that is a member of the Miller PTA. Entries will be organized by grade levels and critiqued against other works within their grade divisions. Entries are judged and awards are given at school, council, state and national levels.
This year, the theme is “What’s Your Story?”. Students are encouraged to enter as many pieces as they wish in the following six categories:
- Visual Arts
Each student who participates will be recognized and receive a certificate. All entries will be due to the Miller office by Friday, November 4th.
We hope that you encourage your children to share their creations with us! It is very important that all entries reflect the theme as the majority of the points on the judge’s scorecard come from “Interpretation of the theme”.
Reflections program rules and entry forms can be found at http://www.txpta.org/programs/reflections/participate/ under General Entry Information at the bottom of the page and in the attached PDF. There are specific rules and guidelines for each category so be sure to review those before submitting an entry. Each entry must be submitted with a completed entry form. Printed copies of the entry form can also be found in the Miller office.
